Chinas Population

Qn1 During the first 7 years following the establishment of the Peoples Republic in 1949, Chinas economy escalated considerably, thereby improving the lives of many people. Besides, there was peace, almost adequate food for everybody, as well as great extension of medical and health services. These government initiatives drastically decreased death rates emanating from famine and diseases. As such, improved social conditions as well as food security favored population growth from 1950s to 1990s.

Qn2 I agree with Maos population thought, because population has never been a problem to any country and China is no exception. Just as Mao uttered, people are the greatest asset to a country, without which economic development suffers human resource deficiency. Worries about population growth are groundless, as this demonstrates the superiority of a particular society. I as well agree with Maos thought because, though population increase comes along with a number of substantial problems, Mao acknowledges this, but maintains that the benefits of population increase to a country like China outweigh the anticipated problems.

Qn3 The obvious characteristic is that Chinas population is extremely large, and that it augments rapidly. In 1982 for instance, Chinas population almost equaled the total population of Africa, Europe, and Oceania put together. Secondly, Chinas population is unevenly distributed. The South East part of China is densely populated than the North West part. Finally, approximately eighty percent of the Chinese population lives in rural areas, and farming population is therefore enormous.
